Landscapes & Cityscapes

These are a mix of mostly oil and gouache paintings.  Landscapes is a large category, and is divided into two parts, Land/Cityscapes I and II.  Included are paintings of mountains, forests, pathways, parks, buildings, inland and coastal areas, beaches, streams, lakes and harbors.  It also includes nocturnes, which are paintings done of buildings at night. Geographically, these cover a large expanse, from the backyard of my home, to my neighborhood of Claremont, other parts of California, other states, and foreign countries I have visited. The objective in each of these paintings is the same: to render an interesting composition, capture the light and shadows, and use an interesting mix of warm and cool, light and dark colors.
